January knitting

This month I will be finishing.
1.the socks that are on the needles
2.a pair of socks for my grandson Brandon who will be 13 next month !!
3.the perforated edge scarf
4.the 2 dishcloths from the yahoo KAL group for this month

On the needles

this sock and the scaft below are on the needles right now. the pattern is on the band for jitterbug yarn and I do not know the colorway it was in my stash and one sock was done so I am finishing them up.

This is my favorite item besides my stole that I knit in 2008.
I knit this for Olyviah, my granddaughter.she wears it alot and people always comment on it. I will make her another one some time this year.
this pattern is free from knitty! and a very easy knit.and not to mention she looks adorable in it !

dishcloth

I belong to the monthly dishcloth KAL group at yahoo this is the first days clue for the January cloth. It called for a light blue but all I had was this blue and again stash busting I used this.

little box of scarfs

This is a scarf from the little box of scarfs called the perforated edge scarf.I am using some Noro I have I am trying to use yarn I have on hand this year and see how many projects I can make.I have a feeling the year will end and I will still have yarn !!

Brandy's Spong bob blanket

This is one of my oldest daughters christmas gifts that I just finished today!! LOL better late than never.
I stalked Joanns for this fabric forever !! it turned out really cute.

Mystery stole 4

This has been done for awhile but I just never got around to puting it up here.
I knit this during a very trying breast cancer scare I had.
Melonies Mom Georgina facilitated the mystery this year.
there were alot of firsts for me
1.beading
2.grafting something bigger than a sock
3.finishing
4.blocking
I had a wonderful time making it and it was my saving grace in the darkest of dark days.
Thank you Georgina for your wonderful patience time and energy, and for the beleif you have in the man upstairs!!
